as soon as i saw the incredible artwork jo can conjure, i decided that a specially commissioned piece would make the perfect surprise present for paula so i put the wheels into motion.
unwittingly, paula chose her favourite photo to be turned into a photorealistic treasure - a black and white i shot in lisbon. the secret was safe with jo and she worked her magic with oil and brush, delivering a stunning painting just in time for a christmas unveiling. i visited her just as the finishing touches were being applied to document and celebrate her talent.
