"i came across alex's work through a mutual friend and it's immediately compelling. everyone he photographs looks incredible, and the dark, atmospheric tone to the photos create a seductive but subtle theme that is quite unique. i knew straight i away i wanted to work with alex after seeing his work. although initially apprehensive about how comfortable i'd feel or whether i thought i was physically ready, i felt very assured that he always makes people look beautiful.
i felt very creatively involved and supported and that if i had any questions about outfits, tone or location, alex would always be keen to chat and provide honest feedback so that it felt like a very collaborative process. initially i was a little nervous, but i found you soon relax into it and start to feel more confident as you adjust to how to pose. alex is always professional but friendly, and it just feels like an enjoyable afternoon creating something awesome!

the first time we shot together, i felt immediately at ease with him, despite the fact we were traipsing around a deserted park on an early winter’s morning. as i’ve got to know him, the shoots have become even more fun and comfortable, with lots of laughter and chatter. he will discuss with you in advance what you want from the shoot and what clothing you may want to wear. the looks will be woven into a coherent set of pictures that tell a story. he will turn around the edited photos to you very promptly so you don’t have to wait long to see the results of the day’s creativity. above all, his pictures of you will be beautiful and will be memories to treasure."

"i was very excited for my first shoot with alex, i had seen his beautiful work and knew the results would be wonderful. he has such a clear style that really appealed to me as i knew the shots he came up with would be unique. i was so pleased that alex involved me creatively and felt that we both had the same vision for the kind of shots we were going to create. shooting outside in nature was really important to me and alex found a location that was even better than i could have imagined. i was nervous but alex is such a calm and peaceful presence that i never felt uncomfortable.
i have a small amount of modelling experience and some photographers really expect a lot of initiative to come from the model, with alex i felt much more supported and found his gentle direction to be really helpful. i was so happy with the results, i had such a huge range of shots to choose from with a mix of closeups and others that showed more of the landscape, which is just what i was hoping for. i felt alex captured me exactly as i had wanted to and was so happy that our visions of what the shoot would look like had aligned perfectly.
i would highly recommend working with alex. in fact, i enjoyed the shoot so much that i organised another one at my home, which was an equally positive experience. for anyone who has never had photographs of themselves that they are happy with, alex will change that. if you're uncertain about having your photo taken, or worried about how you'll find the experience, i'd really recommend alex as someone who will make you feel calm and at ease. you'll be so happy with the photos and memories you'll take away from the experience."

"i loved his photos: the moody exposition, the thoughtfulness and care of props, costumes, hair, hands, legs. the women in his photos looked incredible: sexy and happy, loving and playful. they looked like their best selves. when i asked alex to do some photos with him, i truly didn’t think i would go through with it. but after talking to him about what i had in mind, and his own ideas for the shoot, i couldn’t not do it. he is so inspiring, so easy to get on with.
i told him how much i love americana and we immediately pictured american flags, cowboy boots, denim shorts, rollerskates, blue, red and white. at one point alex turned into my therapist, after i told him how much i hated my stomach and thighs and all my wobbly bits. but he was kind. always supportive. i never thought in a million years would do this – ever. but he was great. we ended up shooting for hours and after rearranging all the furniture in my house (and a pub lunch) i felt on top of the world. look how sexy i am! i can be sexy! alex had caught all my good angles – he knows what to do, how women like to look and feel.
when i look back at the photos i can still see myself being a little shy, not fully giving myself up – though at certain points i definitely do. he’s a wonderful man with a kind heart and the most creative and inspiring eye."

"it wasn't until my best friend had a shoot with alex that it suddenly became this thing that i could do too. i'd always wanted a shoot, and my friend encouraged me to contact alex, that automatically made me even more drawn to wanting to work with him. i loved alex’s work instantly. these were real images that celebrated the body as it was. and, as so many people comment, they all felt like they were from a movie and i wanted to star in my own.
the final images are incredible, and the experience itself was good fun! the people that have seen the images have all said they look amazing, and they comment on how i look too. i feel like these are the most honest images of myself.
i'd say for a long while i felt more confident about myself, and my image. naturally, people have their ups and downs with self-image and confidence, but i'd love to do another shoot to be able to have that feeling all over again."

"i always think alex's work is super editorial and cinematic; unique to anything else you see in the "boudoir" field and glamorous in a classy and stylistic way. through having gained some body confidence in the past few years i wanted to make the most of that. i was probably more nervous about what other people might think more than my own concerns. there's still a certain amount of ignorance about this type of shoot outside of the photography bubble where people would be judgemental and not understand why you'd want to do it, or why it's important.
i really enjoyed the actual shoot, i did feel briefly frozen about what to do with my body - it takes a few minutes to get into it i think - so alex’s direction while you warm up is helpful. i really feel like he works and how he directed me was great and inspired a lot of confidence. i love the photos, and i basically think i look amazing, i do quite often look back at them and it always gives me a boost. alex is such a talent and i'm so pleased i got to have not one but two shoots with him! he has a special eye and such a unique style. i will treasure my images forever and always be grateful."

"as a photographer myself who recently just graduated with a degree i am very selective about who i choose to photograph me! i saw a friends’ images from her boudoir shoot and loved them. i loved alex's style, his innovative use of prisms and the very classy and contemporary approach to this genre of photography. alex communicated extremely well in the lead up to the shoot and gave great advice on how to prepare my body and mind before the day which was really useful when thinking about outfits and styling.
alex made me feel very relaxed and at ease during the shoot, i was encouraged to move in ways that look good on camera but also allowed to lead the session with poses i was comfortable with. he makes sure you're happy with the poses and wants to reflect your character, strengths and your 'best bits'!

"how did i feel about the shoot? two words. incredibly. nervous. having a shoot like this was completely against my usual character... but after a selection of life events i decided to do something that was challenging and entirely for myself and no one else. i didn't have any negative pre-conceptions, i find some boudoir images sleazy and distasteful but when i found alex's work all i could think was how beautiful and classy he makes boudoir. on the day i felt completely at ease, i loved chatting through ideas and getting to know alex better prior to the shoot. it felt like we were friends by the time the shoot arrived.
i'm still in awe of how he put so much of himself and so much effort and energy into the people he works with, i think that is a talent in itself. the final images completely blew me away. i mean that in the least vain way possible. as a photographer, i have full appreciation for the compositions, the beauty of how alex works with the light you have and also the creativity he put into the shoot. they genuinely are beautiful images. it was a definite confidence boost and contributed to my inner happiness at that particular time of my life."
